Results obtained are from treatment with medical dermarollers not the homecare dermaroller
Collagen Induction Therapy (short: CIT) is a new therapy for skin cell regeneration. Before CIT only invasive methods (laser and dermabrasion) were used for skin rejuvenation. The disadvantages of these techniques are that the epidermis is removed and the tissue reacts to this massive cell damage by forming scar tissue.
The mechanism of action of COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY works differently. It is based on scientific facts that skin cells communicate by electrical signals. When the skin is microneedled, cells react to this intrusion by changing their internal electrical potential. This electrical charge in return stimulates skin cells to release chemical compositions, protein and growth factors. Proliferated skin cells, such as fibroblasts, migrate to the point of injury and transform into collagen fibers.
Histological findings 2006 of a blinded study on 10 patients by M. Schwarz, MD, Plastic surgeon, Freiburg-Germany 2 Biopsies with 20 times magnification
Non needled biopsy with normal collagen fiber formation (stained violet)

Before Induction Therapy
Six weeks after microneedling a second biopsy from the forehead was taken. A dramatic increase of new collagen- and elastin fibers are clearly visible (stained violet). They reach into a depth of 0.6 mm. The increase of new fibers can reach 1000% with 1 procedure.

After Induction Therapy
These facts explain the minimal visible tissue reaction and the short period of inflammation that usually only lasts for some hours. In contrary to all ablative techniques the proliferation phase starts shortly after the treatment. As the epidermis stays intact and the fine pricking channels are closed within minutes, postop infections have never been reported.

The appearance immediately after a COLLAGEN-INDUCTION-THERAPY. The face is pinkish colour that lasts on average about 12 to 24 hours.
Skin Resurfacing with the dermaroller is the easiest procedure for skin rejuvenation ever invented.
Numbing cream is applied on the skin and is effective after 45 minutes
A face is dermarollered for 25 minutes
No post-op pain - No reported side effects
Social down time is generally one afternoon
You can return to work the next day with light Make-up (Use Sunscreen SPF 30)
That’s all – it’s so easy!
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All dermarollers™ are medical devices and only belong into the hands of licensed skin care professionals. Also numbing creams should only be applied under professional supervision.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks or striae are caused by the skin stretching during rapid growth in puberty and pregnancy. About 80% of all pregnant women experience striae. This over stretching results in skin ruptures that finally transform into scars. New stretch marks appear like reddish to purple irregular lines and gradually fade to white or silverish color, and they are permanent. By touching they appear softer than the surrounding tissue. Glucocorticoid hormones are responsible for striae. They prevent the transformation of fibroblasts into collagen- and elastin fibers.
Although striae do not compromise the body’s function, in many cases striae can be an aesthetic disfigurement and may often lead to depression. So far the cure of stretch marks has been “very difficult”, and the improvement with creams or laser is very limited.
Based on the fact that the dermaroller's microneedling stimulates cell regeneration and proliferation of fibroblasts in a dramatic amount, several physicians started in 2007 to use the dermaroller to treat stretch marks. The results were beyond expectations and on a recent symposium Dr. Scalvini, Milano University in Italy, predicted that dermarolling stretch marks will result in a success rate of 80 to 90%.
This is more evidence that the Collagen-Induction-Therapy is the best choice to improve your skin. Unlike any ablative method. (dermabrasion, Co2 laser, etc.) there is no risk of pigment loss, especially on darker skin.
The treatment is simple. After application of a numbing cream on the affected skin, the pain free procedure lasts about 20 minutes. There is no post-op pain and ZERO down time. Side effects in Collagen-Induction-Therapy have never been reported.

In this case: 1 to 2 more treatments are planned – We will keep you updated
Wrinkles
The first signs of aging skin are in general the formation of fine lines, especially around the eyes and upper lip. The scale layers of the epidermis become thinner and harder and its previous transparency starts to fade. The dermis is losing its elasticity by degrading elastin and hardening collagen fibers. The cells of the sub dermal tissue start to shrink. And in addition the skin faces a dramatic moisture loss. All these factors form the degrading process of our skin.
What can be done to stop this degradation? The answer is cell regeneration! This can be achieved with the Collagen-Induction-Therapy (CIT). The CIT is a simple procedure by microneedling the skin with the medical dermaroller. It is very effective and stimulates new collagen cells that boost your skin by remodeling the structure of dermis and epidermis.
According to the individual skin condition, 1 to 3 procedures, separated by 4 to 6 weeks, are sufficient to resurface the skin. As aging continues, we recommend one refresher-CIT every year. Between the CITs and after the last one, you can support the results of the CIT by using the Home Care Dermaroller in combination with high-end peptide serums.
Advice: As sunrays trigger free radicals - the worst enemies of your skin cells - avoid direct sun exposure!!!
